About

Welcome!  I'm Jamie, a cradle Catholic, who has been married for over 13 years.  My husband and I have two young boys, ages seven and one.  Our older son attends our local Catholic grade school.  I enjoy my Catholic faith; learning more about Catholicism is one of my hobbies.  Other things I enjoy include cooking and baking, reading, listening to music, watching movies with my husband, enjoying nature, singing, and keeping in touch with family and friends.  Since I was a child, I have also enjoyed writing.  It all began with short stories and poems and gradually became an outlet for teenage angst.  Through various life seasons, I have taken to the pen and paper or the keyboard to hash out my feelings and to process the world.  When my thoughts spiral or swirl, getting them out of my head and onto the page can stop them in their tracks.  Writing can also be an exercise in positivity, which is something that I often crave in this primarily negative and cynical culture.

More importantly, though, I have a desire to connect.  While I do find it best to develop relationships with those in my general location, I am glad that I can be inspired by others in the virtual world.  Sometime, I may feel a little alone in raising my children in the Catholic faith, but now I can hop onto a blog and see that there are many other Catholics who are trying to do the same thing.  It is a gift!

Thank you for stopping by!  Please feel free to leave a comment and introduce yourself, if you wish.
